I never chop though - mostly for how goddamn tilted they get if you don't. (Oh, and literally EVERYONE has a story about when they chopped with aces.) If your reputation is important to your winrate, or there is a drop for the rake instead of a %, then chopping is the way to go. I also play 1/2 at charity rooms, and they get superstitious about chops - saying that it's bad luck not to do it. If it's better for you to be on their good side, then play their games and chop.
